The Wolseley Women With Hattitude set forth on an evening adventure to visit this fabulously relocated and restored 1919 Eaton's catalogue home. Boxton now operates as a luxury inn and spa and, in our opinion, would be a wonderful place to go for a weekend retreat or any time you want a treat!
The tour of the premises provided by our hostess, Ruth Claxton, was much appreciated. Her knowledge of the history of the home, and stories behind the decor of the rooms, really brought the place to life for us.
The dinner was second-to-none. We enjoyed a gourmet meal of oven-roasted tarragon chicken in a delicate vermouth sauce, accompanied by sweet potato mash and seasonal vegetable. Dessert was a flourless chocolate cake good enough to satisfy the most seasoned chocoholic.
As one happy Red Hatter put it, "Martha Stewart eat your heart out!"
