Wolseley Women With Hattitude
a Chapter of the Red Hat Society! ("Official" Website)
Our Chapter is located in Wolseley, Saskatchewan, the "Town Around a Lake".  On the Trans-Canada Highway approximately one hour east of Regina, Wolseley is a peaceful town, away fro the traffic and bustle of city life, yet close enough to have all the conveniences.

On March 20th, 2009, a small group of local women met for lunch at the Banbury House Restaurant in Wolseley, along with the Queen Mum and Princess of Vice of the neighbouring Valley Scarlet O'Hatters Chapter from Fort Qu'Appelle.  The guests shared their experiences as Red Hatters and provided some advice on organizing a chapter in Wolseley.

The core group of four held a "formation meeting" on March 26th and
Wolseley Women With Hattitude was born.  The meeting was devoted to brainstorming ideas to expand the membership and it was decided that the first order of business would be a tea.  The date of April 24th was selected and invitations issued.  Since the tea, our membership has grown slightly but we are actively seeking more fun-loving ladies of a certain age to join us in our adventures.  There is NO FUNDRAISING, just FUN.  Plan to set aside one day a month that is just for you.  We'll take turns planning our aventures and ALL ideas are welcome.  Everyone may not be interested in or able to attend every event, but that is part of the fun - NO COMMITMENT other than what you are willing to make.

Women age 50 and over are eligible to be
"Red Hatters".  We wear purple clothing and red hats of all descriptions.  (The more bling, ruffles and feathers the better.)  We also welcome women under the age of 50 as "Pink Hatters".  Our younger sisters wear lavender clothing and pink hats when attending Red Hat get-togethers, and hopefully look forward to the day they "graduate" to red and purple.

Further information on the
Red Hat Society is available at their official website.  Please check things out and if you are interested in joining our "band of sisters", follow the links to register with RHS as a supporting member of our Chapter #79255 Wolseley Women With Hattitude.  The current (2009) annual cost is $20 (US) which is paid to the Red Hat Society.  Our Chapter does not currently have any additional registration or membership fee, though you will be required to contact Queen Shirley and provide her with your proper name and $8.00 (Canadian) to be added to the Red Hat Insurance Policy.

For more information or assistance with the registration process, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone, via the email link or in person at the Treasure Chest on Front Street, Wolseley.
